I really like the concept of the midori travel journals but wanted to make my own. The midori leather covers are beautiful but can cost on average of $50. Until I am sure it is something I will use all the time I wanted to try to make my own. I did try a leather version my local fabric store sells scrap leather but it wasn’t firm enough. I made these from fat quarters picked up at my local fabric store. I used a heavy fusible interfacing to make them more firm. Lots of tutorials on utube on how to make them. I chose to sew mine since I know how to sew bu I saw others you just fused together. Inside are elastic loops t hold your inserts. I will be posting more about these but they can be used as travel journals, planners and journals. #lovemyscrapbookingideas
